5. Worship & Prayer

Sunday Services in the benefice

Our online Sunday worship is continuing, with a service of the Word, with songs and prayers, posted on the video page of this website, and on our YouTube channel each Sunday and remaining available thereafter.

On Sunday 6 December our online service will be a christingle service for all ages.
On Sunday 13 December we will have another communion service.
On Sunday 20 December we shall be putting out a carol service.
On Sunday 25 December, we will have a short and joyful service for Christmas Day,

and then we will take a bit of a rest until the new year.

Do join us for a coffee and chat over Zoom at 11.30 each Sunday, once people have had a chance to participate in the service. Details on the calendar, or contact Rev Nick Bird

Holy Trinity Church, Stockton's Sunday services in the church building will re-commence on Sunday 6th December, and the service on 13th December will be a Eucharist.

As before the current lockdown, places are limited to 40 people, and must be reserved ahead of time by contacting Ennis Tweddle (Churchwarden) 400364/ennisjacksonuk@yahoo.co.uk. Places will be booked on a first come, first served basis.

It is mandatory by law for face coverings to be worn, unless one is exempt. Please only sit in designated seats and take your service sheet home afterwards. The service will be about 30 minutes long, and, sadly, no singing or hanging around afterwards to chat is permitted.

There will be special arrangements for christmas services in our church buildings. Details on p6 - Advent & Christmas.

Monthly Prayer Meeting via Zoom

Revd Mark Poole invites you to join him for an informal time of prayer via Zoom.

We had a wonderful time of prayer over Zoom on Tuesday 10th November, and our next meetings are on Monday 14th December and Thursday 14th January. Each will last about an hour, commencing at 7:00pm, and will be an opportunity to pray for the needs of our communities, our nation and our world especially during these difficult times. It will also be an opportunity for us to pray for God's mission in our benefice as we seek to serve in His Kingdom.

You are very welcome to join us. If you know anyone else who worships elsewhere and who may like to join us then please let them know the dates and forward the Zoom link so they can join us.

The Zoom invitations will be sent out a few days prior to each evening. Please email Revd Mark Poole to receive an invitation.

If you do not wish to join us, but would like prayer, then let Mark know, including whether you are happy for this to be prayed for during the meeting.

Do you want someone to pray for you?

Every week in our intercessions at Church we offer prayers for the sick and now we have weekday worship in our Churches we would like to pray for the sick, bereaved or those in any kind of need. Please let Judith have any names.
