Stockton WIOur speaker in February was Julie-Ann-Vickers, from York Explore who gave us a fascinating talk on THE POOR LAW UNION, taken from the archives. Which gave us an understanding of the poverty and deprivation at the time and the creation of the ‘Poor House’. Stockton on the Forest and Hopgrove Local History GroupThe History Group is pleased to announce their schedule of meetings for 2020 to which we warmly welcome everyone:
Our meetings are held in the Long Room of the Village Hall, Sandy Lane, Stockton on the Forest and are open to all. Refreshments provided. £2.50 for non-members; £1.50 for members.
