Sunday Services in the benefice

It has been decided to hold off opening any of our parish churches for Sunday services until at least October. This is partially because of the ongoing risk, partly because of the presumption that infections will be on the rise again come the autumn, but also because of the success of the online worship provision, which includes:

Sunday worship - a service of the Word, with songs and prayers, available on the video page of this website, and on our YouTube channel.

Wednesday Evening Compline - a short service of night prayer held live over Zoom at 7.00pm

The situation will be reviewed again in September.

Morning Prayer in the benefice church buildings

There is a short service of morning prayer in each parish church every week: days and times below. Why not come and meet with others for prayer. Everyone will be very welcome. The churches are also open for private prayer twice a week. Please wear a face mask when you are in the building. Thank you.

Praying for our Circuit

We pray together for our Circuit staff, both ministers and lay employees.  Let us thank God for their contribution to the work of God in our Circuit, and pray for them as they consider how best to respond to God's call in this time.

Servant Lord,
Open our eyes to see how we can serve our community,
Calling to account those who destroy our planet,
Donating to foodbanks, campaigning for justice,
Listening to those whose voice is not heard,
Giving our time, our money, our prayers.
Open our eyes to see how we can serve one another,
Caring for the sick, speaking to the lonely,
Sitting with those who grieve or hurt.
Open our eyes to see how we can serve you.
Servant and Saviour,
Make us like you as we seek to serve you.
Amen.
